| Mô tả mặt trước | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script, arranged in horizontal registers across the coin's surface. The inscription contains the kalima (Islamic profession of faith) and the name and titles of the Timurid ruler Shahrukh Mirza. The lettering is deeply struck in high relief against a flat field, characteristic of Timurid hammered coinage. Portions of the marginal legend are partially off-flan due to the irregular striking technique. The overall style is consistent with early fifteenth-century Central Asian silver coinage from the Herat mint. |
