Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in angular naskh script, arranged across the flan in characteristic late Aq Qoyunlu hammered style. The legend, partially struck on the irregular planchet, fills the field without a defined border, with individual letter strokes boldly raised in relief. The script radiates outward from the centre, typical of the compact die style employed at the Tabriz mint in this period. Weak strike and planchet irregularity obscure portions of the marginal legend.
