| 裏面の説明 | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic-script inscription contained within a ruled square cartouche, consistent with Shaybanid tanka typology. The legend, rendered in nasta'liq script, carries the ruler's name and titles together with religious formulae. A marginal inscription encircles the cartouche in the surrounding field, partially visible at the flan edges due to the irregular strike. The surfaces display the characteristic flat, hammered texture of Central Asian silver coinage of the late sixteenth century. |

Darwish Ahmad governed Balkh and Bukhara during a fractious period of Shaybanid fragmentation, when the dynasty's original unity — built on Uzbek tribal conquest of Timurid Central Asia in the early sixteenth century — had dissolved into competing appanages. By the 1570s, individual Shaybanid princes were striking coins under their own names from regional mints, functioning less as subordinates than as de facto independent rulers acknowledging nominal dynastic solidarity. Album's A3005 attribution groups these local issues carefully, but attribution to a specific mint between Balkh and Bukhara remains dependent on die analysis.
