Obverse description Unadorned draped bust of King Stanisław August Poniatowski facing right, with elaborately curled and queued hair dressed in the late Baroque court fashion. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair and drapery at the truncation. The encircling Latin legend runs along the full periphery of the coin, separated from the effigy by a flat field. No diadem or laurel wreath is present, giving the portrait a naturalistic, neoclassical character typical of late 18th-century Polish royal coinage.
