| Reverse description | The arms of Elbing (Elbląg) — a vertically divided oval shield bearing a patriarchal cross in the upper half and a cross-anchor device over a chequered field in the lower half — displayed at the centre of the coin, surrounded by an elaborate wreath of oak branches with acorns and foliage tied at the base. The mint-master's initials I-I appear flanking the shield at mid-height. The date 1635 appears at the top of the circular legend, while the denomination numerals 3 and 6 are placed within or near the wreath at the lower portion. The encircling Latin legend commemorates the city's loyalty and preservation during wartime. |
