Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of the city of Toruń (Thorn): a fortified city gate with two flanking towers and a central tower, rendered in elaborate detail. The shield is surmounted by a spread-winged angel (the civic supporter of Toruń), and flanked by ornate Baroque scrollwork cartouches. The date 1765 is divided across the cartouches, with 17 to the left and 65 to the right. The mintmaster's initials SB appear below the shield. The denomination VI (six groszy) is inscribed on a ribbon scroll at the base. The surrounding legend reads CIVITAT·THORUNENS·MONET·ARGENT, separated by a rosette stop, all within a toothed border.
