| Opis rewersu | The reverse displays the elaborate civic arms of Gdańsk as its central device: a crowned shield bearing a black cross (the Teutonic cross) supported on either side by two rampant lions facing each other, their manes rendered in fine detail. Above the shield, between the two lions, the Roman numeral VI denotes the coin's value of six groszy, with a mint-master's mark (letter D) visible in the central field. The entire heraldic composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The circumferential Latin legend reads GROSS•AR•SEXDVP•CIVIT•DANCZK•1535, identifying the piece as a silver sixfold grossus of the city of Gdańsk, with a small rosette ornament punctuating the legend at the top. |
