Obverse description Central field dominated by the royal cipher ICR — an interlaced monogram of Ioannes Casimirus Rex — struck in bold relief and surmounted by a royal crown with three visible fleurs and beaded arches. The date numerals appear flanking the monogram in the left and right fields. The flan is irregular, characteristic of hammered billon coinage of the mid-17th century, with no encircling legend on this face.
