A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, separated from the central device by a plain inner border. The design is rendered in the crude but vigorous style characteristic of hammered minor coinage of the late sixteenth century. |

A circular Latin legend reading SOLID · REGNI · POLON surrounds the central device, bounded by a beaded outer border typical of hammered coinage of the period. The composition is compact and heraldically bold, consistent with the schilling coinage of the Poznań mint under Stefan Batory. |
