Obverse description Central field features the crowned royal cipher of Sigismund III Vasa — an ornate interlaced 'S' monogram surmounted by a large royal crown with elaborate ornamentation. The date and a mint mark letter appear on either side of the monogram in the field. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, identifying the king and his titles.
