| Reverse description | The reverse displays the crowned eagle of Poland at center, rendered in a bold, somewhat crude hammered style typical of mid-17th century copper coinage. The eagle is displayed with wings spread, its head turned to the right, and a shield on its breast. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading SOLIDVS REG POLO (Solidus Regni Poloniae — Shilling of the Kingdom of Poland), broken by the eagle's wings and crown. The overall strike is moderately well-centered with typical flatness in the high-relief areas. |
