Obverse description Central field dominated by the crowned royal cypher of Jan II Kazimierz Waza, formed by interlaced letters beneath a open royal crown with orb finial. The date digits '52' (for 1652) appear within the cypher. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading ICR 5 2 IOA CAS DG R POL, abbreviated for Ioannes Casimirus Dei Gratia Rex Poloniae. The flan shows typical roller-milled characteristics with slightly irregular edges.
