| Reverse description | Central field bears the heraldic shield of Elbląg, divided per fess, with the upper portion displaying a Maltese-style cross and the lower portion featuring a diagonal crosshatched pattern, all within a beaded inner circle. The shield is presented in the Gothic heraldic tradition characteristic of Prussian civic coinage of the fifteenth century. A circular legend in uncial Latin letters surrounds the design, reading MOnETA CIVIT ELVI, identifying this as a coin of the city of Elbląg. The reverse design closely follows the established civic coinage tradition of the region during the reign of Casimir IV. |
