| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a bold multi-line Arabic legend in flowing thuluth script, reading the royal titulature of Sultan Suleiman I. The inscription is arranged in curved and interlocking lines characteristic of Ottoman hammered coinage. A dotted inner border encircles the legend, and the flan edge is irregular, typical of hand-struck Ottoman gold sultani production. |

The flan is irregular and the strike is characteristically off-center, consistent with hammered Ottoman gold coinage of this period. |
