| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in flowing Thuluth script, arranged in three or four horizontal registers within a plain inner circle. The date appears in the lower register of the inscription. The entire design is enclosed by a beaded border running along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, characteristic of hammered gold coinage of the Ottoman provincial series. |
