| Obverse lettering | السلطان محمد بن مراد خان عز نصره ضرب في حلب سنة ١٠٠٣ (Translation: The Sultan Mehmed bin Murad Khan, may his victory be glorious, struck in Aleppo, year 1003) |
| Reverse description | Hammered gold flan with a four-line Arabic inscription in Thuluth script filling the entire field. The legend bears the imperial Ottoman titulature proclaiming the sultan as ruler of the two lands and sovereign of the two seas, followed by the dynastic formula 'the Sultan, son of the Sultan.' The beaded border encircles the field, and the bold, raised calligraphy is consistent in style with other Sultani gold issues of Mehmed III struck at provincial mints. |
