Reverse description Hammered gold reverse bearing three lines of Arabic calligraphic legend arranged horizontally across the field, enclosed within a beaded border. The inscription presents the sultan's honorific titles, proclaiming him the gold-striker, the glorious and victorious, master of land and sea. The dense Ottoman script is characteristic of hammered provincial coinage of the Tripolitanian Regency under Ottoman suzerainty.
