Reverse description The crowned shield of Holland, bearing the rampant lion of the province, occupies the centre of the field. The heraldic lion is depicted passant-rampant facing left, with a raised forepaw and curling tail, set within a squared shield surmounted by a large floral crown rendered in fine detail. The denomination numeral 'I' appears to the left of the shield and the abbreviation 'S' (for Stuiver) to the right, together indicating the face value of 1 Stuiver. The reverse field is plain, framed by a milled border consistent with the obverse.
