Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a short Greek cross divides the field into four quarters, each containing a cinquefoil rose in relief. The entire central motif is enclosed within a quadrilobe formed by four interlocking arcs. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin characters runs between the inner and outer beaded borders, reading clockwise from a cross pommée stop.

The intersection of the cross is positioned at the centre of the coin.
