Reverse description A long cross pattee extending to the inner circle and intersecting the circular legend, dividing the reverse field into four quarters, each containing a group of three pellets arranged in a triangular formation. The cross arms broaden toward their extremities in the pattee style typical of contemporary sterling imitations struck in the Low Countries. The legend in uncial script runs between the inner circle and the coin edge, with annulets serving as word dividers.
