| Beschrijving keerzijde | A voided long cross extending to the coin's edge divides the reverse into four quarters, with a secondary inner cross creating a double-cross motif. Letters, interpreted as either a patron saint's name or a moneyer's name, are placed in the four angles formed by the arms of the cross. The peripheral legend in uncial Latin script encircles the entire design. The strike is typical of hammered silver sterlings of the southern Low Countries in the late thirteenth century. |
