| 正面描述 | Nude male figure depicted in a dynamic pose, kneeling or crouching atop a winged creature, rendered in high relief with fine archaic stylization. The figure faces left, with musculature and drapery indicated by incised lines. A dotted border frames the design around the irregular flan. The composition is characteristic of the Cilician school of die-engraving from the mid-fifth century BC. |

Kelenderis was a Cilician coastal city whose coinage from this period reflects the region's position between Greek mercantile networks and Persian administrative pressure. The stater series featuring the acrobatic horse — one of the most athletically dynamic compositions in all of archaic Greek coinage — is attributed to local workshops that drew on both Aeginetan weight standards and distinctly regional artistic conventions. The city's harbor economy, tied to timber export from the Taurus hinterland, almost certainly funded the silver.
