| Opis awersu | A sphinx seated to the left occupies the field in high relief, rendered in the Archaic Greek artistic style characteristic of early Lycian coinage. The creature displays the distinctive composite form with a human head facing left, naturalistic folded wings fanning upward and to the right with carefully delineated feathering, and a leonine body with the tail curling beneath. The right forepaw is raised in a commanding gesture. The flan is irregular and unstruck at the periphery, consistent with the hand-hammered production technique of the period. |

| Opis rewersu | A crab rendered frontally in high relief is depicted at the centre of a recessed incuse square, its carapace, claws, and multiple legs clearly articulated in the die. Above the crab, within the incuse field, appears the Lycian letter ē, serving as a dynastic or mint symbol. The broad, shallow incuse square with its bevelled interior edges is typical of early Archaic reverse technique employed by Lycian dynasts during the fifth century BC. The surrounding flan area beyond the incuse border is flat and featureless. |
