Obverse description Lion sejant left, rendered in high relief in the archaic style, with the right forepaw raised and a pronounced mane indicated by engraved striations. The animal is depicted atop a ground line, with the tail curling beneath the haunches. The flan is irregular and the field is plain, consistent with early Lycian dynastic coinage of the late Archaic period.
