The Lycian dynastic inscription TRBBÊNEME runs around the periphery in the Lycian alphabetic script, with a small Lycian letter V (corresponding to the Lycian character 'ẽ' or equivalent) placed within one of the intervening sections between the legs. The incuse technique results in a sunken reverse field characteristic of early Anatolian silver coinage. |
