| Beschrijving voorzijde | Female head facing left, identified as Hera or Aphrodite, depicted with fine classical Greek artistry. The effigy is adorned with a pendant earring and a beaded necklace, and wears a turreted stephane ornamented with a central palmette motif flanked by two circular medallions. The hair is rendered in careful detail, and the facial features reflect the idealised Hellenic style characteristic of Achaemenid-era Cilician coinage. The inscription ΤΕΡΣΙΚΟΝ appears in the field, referencing the city of Tarsus. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Heracles depicted nude and kneeling to the left upon his club, engaged in the First Labour — the strangling of the Nemean lion. The hero wraps both arms forcefully around the lion's neck in a powerful chokehold, partially lifting the beast from the ground. The lion braces its right hind leg against Heracles' right knee and attempts to bite into his right thigh, conveying the ferocity of the struggle. The composition is rendered in dynamic high relief, emphasising the muscular tension of both figures and is characteristic of the accomplished die-cutting associated with Cilician coinage of the late fifth and early fourth centuries BC. |
