Obverse description Facing Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, its characteristic cutouts at left and right sides clearly articulated within a raised border. The convex central boss dominates the field, with the incurved sides of the shield faithfully reproduced in the hammered flan. The design is set within a double linear border, typical of the Theban civic coinage of this period.

Reverse description A large, finely detailed amphora (wine jar) depicted in three-quarter relief at center, with volute handles, a decorated neck, and a flared foot resting on a flat base. To the left of the amphora, the magistrate's symbol — a phi (Φ) monogram — appears in the upper field, with the retrograde or split inscription TIMI flanking the vessel: TI to the lower left and MI to the lower right. The entire design is set within a shallow incuse square, characteristic of early fourth-century Boeotian stater coinage, and references the magistrate Timis responsible for this emission.
