To the left of the amphora, the magistrate's symbol — a phi (Φ) monogram — appears in the upper field, with the retrograde or split inscription TIMI flanking the vessel: TI to the lower left and MI to the lower right. The entire design is set within a shallow incuse square, characteristic of early fourth-century Boeotian stater coinage, and references the magistrate Timis responsible for this emission. |
