| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bust of the king facing left in Hunnic style, rendered in high relief against a flat field with a dotted border encircling the coin's periphery. The effigy displays schematized facial features characteristic of post-Kushano-Sasanian provincial coinage. A Brahmi legend surrounds the royal portrait, reading 'Sri Jayataka', identifying the issuing ruler. The die work is bold but somewhat crude, consistent with locally produced hammered electrum coinage of the early medieval Sindh region. |
