| Beschrijving keerzijde | Laureate and draped bust of the Roman Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted with characteristic short curly hair and a full beard in the Roman imperial manner. The portrait is rendered in a competent Hellenistic style consistent with Bosporan workshop production of the period. A beaded border frames the design. The date numeral ΒΛΥ (432 of the Bosporan Era, corresponding to 136 AD) appears in the lower field beneath the bust, serving as the primary reverse inscription. Depending on the variety, additional symbols such as a club, sword, or spearhead appear in the field as mint or issue control marks. |
