| Descrizione del rovescio | Incuse square enclosing a bucranium (ox skull) facing, adorned with sacrificial fillets hanging from the horns and a rosette below; the square is divided by a raised framework creating a panelled effect. The ethnic legend ΠΑΡΜΕΝΩΝ, naming the magistrate responsible for the issue, is distributed around the four sides of the incuse square in Greek characters. This characteristic incuse reverse type is standard for Abderite staters of the classical period. |
