Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right in high relief, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with a prominent crest and a serpent coil decorating the bowl. The goddess's facial features are rendered with fine Hellenistic artistry, with a strong profile, almond-shaped eye, and delicate lips. Locks of wavy hair escape from beneath the helmet and fall to the neck. The field is plain, with no legend or border.

Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of Victory, stands facing left in flowing draped garments, her large feathered wings spread prominently behind her. She extends her right hand forward holding a wreath, while her left hand holds a stylis (naval standard). The legend ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ runs vertically along the right field. To the lower left appears a star-in-wreath control symbol, and below Nike's feet a caduceus is visible as a secondary control mark. The composition follows the standard Philippic stater reverse type continued under Philip III Arrhidaeus.
