Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenic style with idealized youthful features, slightly parted lips, and a delicate pointed chin. The laureate wreath is elaborately detailed with overlapping bay leaves and berries, encircling the god's flowing, wavy hair. The portrait occupies the majority of the flan, with the neck truncation visible at the lower right, exhibiting the high-relief craftsmanship characteristic of Macedonian royal coinage of the mid-4th century BC.
