Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with high relief. The goddess wears a Attic helmet adorned with a prominent crest and a coiled serpent on the bowl, its scales rendered in careful detail. Flowing locks of hair emerge from beneath the helmet and fall along the neck, framing her sharply defined profile. The facial features are idealized, with a strong nose, slightly parted lips, and a well-modeled cheek, characteristic of the masterful die-cutting of the Lysimachean mint series.
