Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander III of Macedon facing right, portrayed in the heroic tradition with flowing, tousled hair rendered in fine relief. A ram's horn of Ammon curves prominently over the ear, asserting Alexander's divine lineage and association with Zeus-Ammon. The portrait displays the characteristic idealized Hellenistic style, with strong facial features, a slightly parted lip, and a fillet diadem visible above the brow. The surfaces of the flan display the characteristic warmth of high-purity hammered gold.

Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her left elbow resting upon a large round shield set against the throne's side, while her outstretched right hand presents a winged Nike figure. A spear leans against the opposite side of the throne. In the field below the throne, two crossed arrows appear above a bunch of grapes, serving as a mint or magistrate control symbol. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ ('of King Lysimachos') is inscribed in the field, identifying the issuing authority. The reverse composition closely follows the type established by Alexander III, here adapted with specific control marks to the Lysimachean coinage.
