| Obverse description | Bearded head of Zeus Ammon facing right, depicted with characteristic ram's horn curling behind the ear, rendered within a dotted border. The portrait is executed in archaic Greek style with strong facial features, a prominent beard rendered in fine parallel lines, and a fillet or band in the hair. The flan is irregular, typical of early Lycian coinage of the fifth century BC. |

| Additional information |
Kuprilli was among the earliest named dynasts of Lycia whose coins can be attributed with confidence, ruling during the period of Achaemenid Persian suzerainty over the region. His issues are notable for carrying a dynastic name rendered in the Lycian script — one of the earliest uses of that language in any epigraphic context, predating most surviving Lycian inscriptions on stone.
