Additional information

Kuprilli was among the earliest named dynasts of Lycia whose coins can be attributed with confidence, ruling during the period of Achaemenid Persian suzerainty over the region. His issues are notable for carrying a dynastic name rendered in the Lycian script — one of the earliest uses of that language in any epigraphic context, predating most surviving Lycian inscriptions on stone.
