| Описание аверса | Confronted foreparts of a lion and a bull facing one another in heraldic opposition, occupying the full flan; the lion, depicted to the right, displays a boldly rendered mane with stippled or scalloped detailing, an open mouth, and a powerful musculature, while the bull, facing left, is shown with hatched striations across its shoulder and neck. The two animals meet at center, their bodies rendered in high relief in the archaic Greek artistic tradition. No legend or inscription appears in the field. The design fills the irregular flan to its edges, leaving little open field. |

| Описание реверса | Two incuse square punches of differing sizes, arranged side by side in a divided rectangular depression, characteristic of the double-punch technique employed at the Sardis mint during the reign of Kroisos. The punches are sunken deeply into the flan and show a rough, undecorated interior surface. No figural design, legend, or additional ornament appears. This purely functional reverse serves as the counterpart to the elaborate obverse type and is diagnostic of the silver croeseid coinage. |
