Obverse description Draped bust of Agrippina the Younger facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style. The hair is elaborately waved and drawn back, with long locks falling onto the neck and shoulder, characteristic of Julio-Claudian portraiture. The facial features are finely modelled with a high forehead, aquiline nose, and firm chin. No legend or inscription appears in the field. The portrait is set within a broad flat field typical of Bosporan gold staters of this period.
