Reverse description Draped and laureate bust of the Emperor Nero facing right or left, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition adopted by Bosporan royal coinage. The monogram of the reigning Bosporan king Kotys I appears in the field behind the bust, serving as a royal dynastic mark. The Greek date letters ΒΝΤ, corresponding to Bosporan era year 352 (56 AD), are inscribed below the bust. The reverse composition follows the standard format of Bosporan gold staters that juxtaposed the reigning Roman emperor with the local dynast's symbol.
