| 表面の説明 | Forepart of a winged stag facing left in high relief, rendered in the archaic Lycian artistic style. The creature's head is turned slightly, with clearly delineated feathers on the outstretched wing rendered with fine parallel engraved lines. The forelegs are extended forward in a striding pose, and the overall composition fills the irregular flan with confident workmanship typical of early Lycian dynastic coinage. |

Kandyba was a minor Lycian dynastic center in the Xanthos river region, and Khinaka ranks among the least-documented of the dynasts — his name survives almost entirely through his coinage rather than any inscriptional record. These early Lycian staters were produced under the long shadow of Achaemenid Persian overlordship, with dynasts operating as client rulers whose minting rights were locally granted but politically contingent on Persian tolerance.
The Müseler IV series for Lycia remains the essential reference, though attributions within it are periodically revised as new hoards surface from the region.
