| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine high-relief engraving characteristic of the Pella mint. The hair is elaborately styled with a wreath of laurel leaves and curling locks framing the face. The facial features are idealized in the Greek tradition, with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a smooth youthful complexion.
