| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III facing right, portrayed with the ram's horn of Zeus-Ammon curling behind his ear, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition of divine portraiture. The hair is depicted in thick, flowing locks radiating from the crown, with fine engraving capturing individual curls framing the face. The diadem is tied at the back with trailing ends visible above the neck.
