| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with idealized, slightly upturned features and flowing locks of hair. A small ram's horn of Ammon curls behind the ear, identifying the effigy with the divine Alexander. The diadem is rendered as a broad band tied at the back with trailing ends visible among the hair. The portrait displays fine, high-relief workmanship characteristic of posthumous Lysimachean coinage, with the facial features showing strong modeling of the cheek and brow. |
