| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her left arm resting on a large round shield set on the ground beside her, while a long transverse spear rises diagonally in the background field. In her right hand she holds a small Nike (Victory) facing left, extending a wreath. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs along the upper and right fields, identifying the issuing authority as King Lysimachus. A control mark in the form of the letter M (Μ) appears to the inner left, and an ornate trident — the civic badge of Byzantion — is placed prominently in the exergue, serving as the mint identifier. |
