| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III to right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with flowing, luxuriant hair secured by a royal diadem. The effigy bears the distinctive horn of Ammon curling above the ear, signifying Alexander's divine association with Zeus-Ammon. The facial features are finely modelled with a strong profile, slightly parted lips, and a commanding, idealized expression characteristic of posthumous Lysimachean coinage. The high-relief portrait displays exceptional artistry, with the diadem ends visible behind the neck. No legend appears on the obverse field. |
