背面描述	Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her left arm resting on a large round shield decorated with a gorgoneion, while a transverse spear leans in the background behind her. The goddess holds a small Nike in her extended right hand, who faces left and offers a wreath. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs to the right of the figure, identifying the issuing authority. A monogram appears in the inner left field, the city ethnic ΒΥ is inscribed below the throne, and an ornate trident — the civic symbol of Byzantion — occupies the exergue.
