Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, wearing the horn of Ammon curling behind his ear, rendered in high relief with finely detailed wavy hair swept back from the forehead and falling in voluminous locks behind. The portrait, closely modelled on the Lysimachean stater prototype, displays idealized Hellenistic workmanship with a smooth cheek, prominent nose, and parted lips. No legend appears on the obverse; the entire flan is devoted to the royal portrait. The die style reflects the posthumous civic coinage of Odessos, consistent with late third-century BC provincial engraving traditions.

Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, her right hand extended forward holding a small Nike who faces left and crowns the royal name, her left arm resting on a large round shield set against the throne. The goddess wears a crested helmet and drapery rendered in flowing folds; a long spear leans diagonally behind her in the left field. The legend BAΣIΛEΩΣ runs downward along the right field and ΛYΣIMAXOY downward along the left field, with the civic control mark KOI inscribed in the lower exergual area beneath the throne, identifying this issue as a product of Odessos.
