| 背面描述 | Nike, the goddess of Victory, stands facing left in a graceful contrapposto pose, her wings partially spread behind her. In her extended right hand she holds a wreath, the symbol of triumph, while her left hand grasps a stylis (naval sceptre or ship's stern ornament), referencing Macedonian maritime power. The royal legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. In the left field appears a monogram serving as a mint or magistrate control mark, while a double-headed axe (labrys) is placed below Nike's right wing as an additional control symbol, characteristic of the Miletus mint issue. |

Struck at Miletus in the immediate aftermath of Alexander's death in June 323 BC, this issue belongs to a politically turbulent window when his generals were still nominally continuing coinage in his name while the empire fractured around them. The Miletus mint had been reopened by Alexander after the city's siege in 334 BC, making it one of his own establishments rather than an inherited one.
Price 2114 is a documented variety within a mint whose output during this precise transitional period is difficult to attribute with certainty to any single administrator.
