| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena in right-facing profile, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head and adorned with a prominent upright crest and elaborate floral or serpentine decoration on the bowl. The goddess's hair falls in carefully rendered curling locks beneath the helmet's cheek guards, framing a finely modelled face with a straight nose and well-defined lips. The high-relief portraiture is executed in the refined Hellenistic style characteristic of Macedonian royal coinage, filling the flan with confident artistic authority. No inscriptions appear on the obverse field. |
